Connect Practice Fusion to Scope

Connect Practice Fusion to bring your schedule, patient charts, and notes into your Scope workflow. You create a dedicated Scope user in Practice Fusion. Scope accepts the invitation and completes the account setup.

Before you start

You need administrator access in both your Scope workspace and Practice Fusion. Your workspace shares the EHR connection with its members.

1. Start the connection in Scope

  1. Open Settings → Organization → EHR integrations in Scope.
  2. Click New connection.
  3. Select Practice Fusion.
  4. Click Continue to open the Practice Fusion setup page.
  5. Keep the setup page open while you complete the Practice Fusion steps in another tab.

The setup page shows the name and email for the dedicated Scope user. Scope also prepares a phone number for account verification.

2. Open Users in Practice Fusion

  1. Sign in to Practice Fusion as an administrator.
  2. On the Home page, scroll to the Add users card.
  3. Click Add users to open the user list.

For practices with existing users, this card appears under Completed. You can also open Settings → Users.

The Add users card under Completed on the Practice Fusion Home page, outlined in red. Account details and code are examples.

3. Add the Scope user

In the Add user form, enter these details:

  • First name: Scope Health
  • Last name: Support
  • Login email: The email shown in your Scope setup page
  • Access level: 4 Phys./MD/DO
  • Admin: Select the checkbox

Scope needs this access level to save draft notes to the chart. It does not use a Provider or Signing Staff license, so it does not add to your subscription, and Scope cannot sign notes.

  1. Leave Dr. and Emergency access unchecked.
  2. Click Add to create the user and send the invitation.

The screenshot uses an example email. Use the email from your own Scope setup page.

4. Submit the Practice Access Code

  1. Copy the Practice access code from Practice Fusion.
  2. Find the code beside the Users heading or in the Home page Add users card.
  3. Return to the Scope setup page and click I’ve added the user.
  4. Enter the code in the Practice Access Code (PAC) field.
  5. Click Connect.

The PAC is separate from a login verification code. Scope does not need your personal Practice Fusion password for this setup.

5. Let Scope finish setup

Scope accepts the invitation, sets the account password, and completes phone verification. The setup page shows each step of the progress and reports when access is ready.

You can leave the setup page while setup continues. To return, open your pending connection in Settings → Organization → EHR integrations.

Questions during setup

I cannot add a user.

Ask your Practice Fusion administrator to complete the user creation steps.

I entered the wrong email.

Make sure that the new user has the exact email from your Scope setup page. Scope needs the invitation at that address to continue.

Where do I enter the PAC?

Enter it on the Scope setup page, after you click I’ve added the user. Do not send passwords or access codes in chat messages or email.

The connection needs attention.

Scope can need assistance with a browser security check or another verification step. Read the status on your setup page, or contact support@scopehealth.com.
